THE EVOLUTION // FROM INDUSTRIAL FLOORING TO ENGINEERED SYSTEM

Giaretta Italia offers solutions which go beyond the traditional concept of industrial flooring.
Know-how, timely analyses, a systematic approach, certified HACCP and EHEDG materials are the series of elements, whether tangible or not, which form the bases of the Giaretta Italia Flooring System: PRO-HYGIENIC and PRO-TRANSIT.

Giaretta Italia creates flooring systems by carefully assessing the functional and visual aspects, modifying the products and processes according to the designated use.

MACRO-STRATIGRAPHY OF THE GIARETTA ITALIA FLOORING SYSTEM

  1. LOAD-BEARING PLATFORM This is the base/support of the flooring system including the slab/sub-floor/screed, in addition to the systems and the technical and structural elements. Depending on the type of flooring system to be createdand its intended use, the platform can be a standard element or developed according to precise specifications.

  2. TECHNICAL PLATFORM This is the layer which physically and chemically insulates the floor from the base. It consists of one or more elements (layers) with different technical characteristics, such as the adjustment of breathability/waterproofing, chemical resistance and stability of the base.

  3. OUTER SURFACE It includes all the finishing products and defines the main performance features of the flooring system. The elements of the outer surface are: floors, coatings, protections, fittings, connections, as well as the adhesives, sealants and products/additives with specific functional properties. The performance of durability, safety, hygiene  resistance to chemical and organic substances, to termal shock, footfall and loads are generally defined by this layer.

  4. PLANT DESIGN In the industrial flooring, the plant design often plays a key role in  defining the functionality, operation and above all, the hygiene performance. Drainages, floor drains and channels are an integral part of the Giaretta Italia Flooring System and depending on the facility, they must meet the most restrictive hygienic requirements.
